First, I must confess that I seriously covet Lily Collins’ brows. They are dramatic (in a good way), perfectly shaped and are something my brows will never be — noticeable. Mine are blonde and unimpressive.
Beyond the brows though, Collins, in general, wears makeup really well. Lately I’ve found myself looking to her for inspiration.
That’s why, when I got the scoop on how makeup artist Molly R. Stern created her recently look from the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Show & Tea, I had to share it. I’ll also be recreating it on my own face — after I get my brows tinted, of course.
Here’s how to get the look:
Step 1: Perfect your skin with foundation. Stern used Lancome Teint Visionnaire in Ivory, $60.
Step 2: Apply a peachy blush like Lancome Blush Subtil in Cedar Rose, $30.
Step 3: Swipe your lids with a bluish purple cream eyeshadow like Shu Uemura Cream Eyeshadow in 796, $15.
Step 4: Sweep a navy eyeshadow from lashlines to creases using a flat brush. Try Lancome Color Design Eye Brightening All-in-One 5 Shadow & Liner Palette in Indigo Intrigue, $49.
Step 5: Blend a mauve-y brown eyeshadow shade into your creases. Try Lancome Color Design Eye Brightening All-in-One 5 Shadow & Liner Palette in Plum Splendor, $49
Step 6: Line top and bottom lashlines with navy eyeliner pencil. Stern used L’Oreal Paris Infallible Lacquer Liner 24H in Navy, $9.95.
Step 7: Apply black mascara like Lancome Definicils Mascara in Black, $27 to top and bottom lashes.
Step 8: Finish the look by slicking on a pinkish-nude lipstick like Lancome Rouge in Love in Lasting Kiss, $26
Oh, and if you haven’t seen Stuck in Love — starring Lily Collins — do. It’s great.
